As part of their learning about American art and cartoon strips, Year 4 took part in a cartoon making workshop at the Cartoon Museum in Oxford Circus. The children got to explore the exhibitions where they were able to spot some of their favourite characters such as Dennis the Menace and Superman. After exploring the children then met a real cartoonist who shared some advice with the children before letting them practice some of the tips they had picked up from the morning.
The cartoonist picked one lucky student who invented the most original superhero and then as a prize drew them in a cartoon form as a superhero. The children had an amazing time and it was so interesting learning all about the history of American comics.
