As part of their topic ‘Gallery Rebels’, Year 6 went to the London Tate gallery to explore explore 500 years of British art and its many stories and voices. The class got to discover much-loved favourites alongside new contemporary artworks, from the Pre-Raphaelites to David Hockney, Bridget Riley and Lubaina Himid. Tate Britain is also home to the world’s largest collection of works by JMW Turner.
